The other day I came across what had to have been one of the world's first Subarus. It looked like this but much rustier. It made me realize that, with peak oil far behind us, the auto industry's knack for creative, inspiring design has probably peaked as well and that cars sold in the United States will most likely continue their chintzy, tacky downward spiral until we're all riding around on livestock once again. Did you know that outside North America the fancy-schmancy Acura TSX is sold as the ever-humble Honda Accord? Anyway, these are cars not sold in the U.S. that I wish were.
